Any subscriber who brings up the points which have been disproven in the following list of discussions will be likely regarded as an offender and can be unsubscribed. We had to do this for we discovered that we were dialoguing with unscrupulous members of the papal army. Even after conclusive points were presented to the point where they dared not answer them, they continued to present their redundant points and merely mocked our questions away or laughed at them. We therefore have to institute this principle so as not the waste the time of the people. The only way
discussion upon these points can be brought up again is
if the argument(s) are wholly unique in character.

TRUE RELIGION IS JEWISH!
|
In this scriptural setting we are cognizant of the fact that the Apostolic Church was composed of two main groups of people: Jews and Gentiles. At that time the Gentiles understood that the true religion of God was Jewish. There was no doubt about that question. Yet the Gentiles, being steeped in paganism and idolatry, kept Sunday as a day of worship while the Jewish Church kept Saturday. Paul, along with our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, made clear the standing of the Jewish religion in Romans 9 when he declared: 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; TO WHOM PERTAINETH THE ADOPTION, AND THE GLORY, AND THE COVENANTS, AND THE GIVING OF THE LAW, AND THE SERVICE OF GOD, AND THE PROMISES. Notice how all those categories mentioned which pertained to the Jews were blessings that summed up the whole depth and breadth of salvation. But then Paul gives us another startling reminder of the type of true religion Judaism in its truest form was in the Old Testament. Paul, in Romans 11 likened the true faith of God to a tree. In verse 17, Paul mentioned how that some of the branches were "broken off" and how other wild branches were "grafted in among them," partaking of the root and fatness. The Jews were broken off because of unbelief. Yet notice here now how, as many are inclined to boast of all the advantages of Christianity over the religion of the Jews, Paul, instead of declaring that the Christian Church should be represented by a separate tree, DECLARED THAT WE WERE GRAFTED ON TO THEIR TREE. It was made all too plain in verse 20 of Romans 11, that the Jews as branches were broken off because of unbelief; yet in verse 17, Paul did not declare that all of them were broken off, but rather "some of the branches" were broken off. You know what that means? That means that some of the branches were never broken off, but remained right where they always were. Thus the humbling truth is that we, as Christians, came into their world and not they into ours. That's why we call ourselves "Children of Abraham" by faith. Yet the point to be made here is that the Gentile convert newcomers were not permitted to make their own religion. When they came into the new Christian faith, they were not to bring their religious practices--neither their holy days, food consecrated to their idols, nor their idols themselves--from their pagan and heathen origins into the true religion of Christ; neither did the new Christian faith create principles contrary to the Old Testament religion except in their abandonment of the ceremonial sacrifices and offerings--which pointed to Jesus. In the common norm today, members are encouraged to, in essence, make their own religion. Members are told that their cultures or former backgrounds are important or they are being encouraged to carry their former practices through that barrier which was supposedly to have separated them from sin at conversion. Diversity! Diversity! Unity in diversity is all we seem to hear. "The argument most commonly offered to support ethical relativism, is that of the known diversity of human customs." -- Commonsense Ethics, Crawford, pg. 25. Is there no truth? Is it true that we in this day and age can concoct religion? If that is true wouldn't it also be true that we can concoct God? It was well known in that day what Jesus told the woman at the well after she attempted to draw Him into a religious controversy, pitting the Samaritan religion with that of the Jews. Do you remember His response to her? In John 4:22 He told the Woman at the well: 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: FOR SALVATION IS OF THE JEWS. Do you see the strong implication here? What if I was to use such words against a member of another Christian denomination? What about maintaining diversity? What about uniting? "WHEN WILL THE BARRIERS COME DOWN!" is all we seem to hear in this day and age. Why doesn't anyone ask Jesus that question? Why wasn't Christ ecumenical? Why didn't He tell the woman at the well that she doesn't need to discuss all those different religious beliefs, but must just unite? There were the Pharisees and the Sadducees standing before Him. WHEN WILL THE BARRIERS COME DOWN! Where is "Unity in diversity" here? Again, WHAT TYPE OF PERSON WAS CHRIST? Most religionists today miss the implication. Yet all throughout the history of the Jews, it was a most singular religion. It called itself the only true religion, while the rest of the world were told they were in error and were worshipping false gods. What would you think brethren, if you found out that Jesus was the same way? Do you know Jesus brethren? Are you sure you do? If you do, did you find yourself condemning people who may have said basically the same words Jesus said about His religion in His day today? If you have brethren--if you have condemned such people and accepted an ecumenical spirit, let me inform you that you do not know Jesus. His character is here vividly portrayed as He reveals the power of His word. If Christians did that today--if they went around telling others that their particular church or denomination had truth, ecumenical pastors and preachers will judge and criticize them as being arrogant, just as Jesus would be. Jesus showed the world through His word that truth is there for everyone if they want it bad enough! THERE IS SUCH A THING AS TRUTH; AND THAT IS THE VERY POWER AND GLORY OF THE BIBLE! It is here shown that there's no excuse for error nor diverse religions with the light already given even in Christ's day! It shows that God does not give us the liberty to concoct religion! It shows a horrible omen, as we are trained today to loathe any religionist who thinks his religion has "truth," [oddly enough, except Rome] which would insist that those that do not agree, cannot have truth. But then what's left if all factions of Christendom today cannot bear to hear that any of them has truth? What does that say about Christendom? What reputation does that leave upon God's Word to worldlings? Yet, as you can see, this is what your Master Jesus Christ thought, ladies and gentlemen! He knew that the Jewish church was in apostasy, yet He still also knew that TRUTH was ONLY found within her borders even though many of their spiritual guardians did not teach it in purity themselves. To find truth you would have to study the scrolls of the Jews and not hear their opinions alone. To find truth in Christ's day, you would be wasting your time if you searched the scrolls of the Samaritans. How does it therefore appear to hear many Christians and even ministers discuss their discomfort and loathing that one religion thinks that it has the truth, and therefore mandates that the others don't EXCEPT ROME? God's people could careless! We know of other religions besides our own that claims to have the truth. We do not care that others believe that way, neither are we inclined to challenge their view on that matter. Fact of the matter is that the Jews thought that their religion was true and all others were false, and, as you have been shown, so did the new Christians. As you have seen, Christ thought the same about Judaism, and plainly thought that His religion was better than that of the woman at the well. The revelation here is plain! Interestingly enough however, something very suspicious comes to light through the fact that we have noticed many of these who attack us by stating that we believe we have the truth, totally ignore the fact that the Vatican believed for well over a millenium TO THIS VERY DAY that she is the true church and the others are not, to the point where she actually murdered unnumbered millions of Christians who believed differently! Her base doctrines declare even today that she is the one and only true church, and you can locate Catholic websites which declare this boldly despite the fact that other Catholics deny this. |
